C vs F

Why is it that almost ALL sites which show weather show either C or F? Does it take sooo much space (3 digits at max).

    And then why do some of them put that C/F link somewhere so obscure that one has to spend time figuring out how to change F to C!! And when the whole world except US used C as the default measure, why do all of them show the reading in F by default???
