The moon didn’t come out last night. All Muslims are not really celebrating Eid today – obviously they can’t unless and until they see the moon the previous night, so what’s the holiday for? As if there weren’t enough holidays – not to mention the additional days off due to bandhs and what-nots – here we go with an extra day off.
So, actually speaking, for banks, there’ll be 3 days off this week. In reverse order: Ganapti on Saturday, Eid on Friday and the strike that they had earlier this week on Tuesday.
